Animal Reiki & Cat Behaviour Consultation

1. Who I am
I operate as a sole trader based in Australia. My services include:
Animal Reiki sessions (in-person and remote)
Cat behaviour consultations and pre-adoption / home set up consultations (in-person and virtual)
By accessing or using any of these services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Who the Services Are For
My services are designed for adults (18+) who are seeking support for their animals' wellbeing, behaviour, and enrichment. They are not veterinary, medical, or clinical services and do not replace professional veterinary care.
If your animal is experiencing a health emergency or showing signs of illness or injury, please contact a licensed veterinarian immediately.
3. Animal Reiki Services
Animal Reiki is an energy-based practice intended to support relaxation and general wellbeing in animals. Sessions may be conducted in-person or remotely.
By booking an Animal Reiki session, you acknowledge that:
Reiki is a complementary, holistic practice — not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
Results and responses vary between individual animals and cannot be guaranteed.
Remote sessions are conducted without the practitioner physically present; you agree to keep your animal in a safe, calm environment during the session.
You are responsible for your animal's safety and wellbeing before, during, and after sessions.
You confirm that your animal is not in acute distress or in need of urgent veterinary care at the time of booking.
Session Changes
You may reschedule a session with at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests within 24 hours of the session may be forfeited without refund.
If I need to reschedule, I will give as much notice as possible and offer a suitable alternative time promptly.
4. Cat Behaviour Consultation & pre-adoption / home set up Consultations
Consultations provide evidence-informed guidance on feline behaviour, enrichment, and communication. Consultations may be conducted in-person at your home or virtually via video call.
By booking a consultation, you acknowledge that:
Behaviour advice is educational and informational, not a clinical diagnosis.
Sudden or significant changes in your cat's behaviour may indicate an underlying health issue — always consult a vet first.
Behaviour modification takes time and consistency; outcomes depend on your engagement, your cat's history, and individual circumstances.
You are responsible for implementing guidance safely and at a pace appropriate for your cat.
You will provide accurate and complete information about your cat's history and current behaviour to allow me to tailor advice effectively.
What's Included
An initial consultation of up to 60 minutes
A written summary of recommendations
Limited follow-up email support for questions and progress updates (as described in your selected package).
What Email Support Is For
To keep support manageable and genuinely useful, email guidance is intended for:
Short follow-up questions and clarifications
Brief progress check-ins between sessions
Email support is not intended for detailed behaviour assessments, new behavioural concerns, or extended advice. These are best addressed in a dedicated session.
5. Provided information Material & Products
All material is for your personal use only. You may not share, sell, redistribute, or publicly post any materials.
6. Important Disclaimers
Please read the following carefully:
Animal Reiki and behaviour consultation services are complementary in nature and do not constitute veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
I am not a veterinarian, veterinary behaviourist, or medical professional. If your animal is unwell, injured, or experiencing a behavioural emergency, please seek qualified veterinary support immediately.
No specific outcomes or results are guaranteed. Animal wellbeing and behaviour are influenced by many factors outside my control.
I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a session if, in my professional judgement, it is not in the animal's best interest.
7. Payments & Refunds
Consultation & Reiki Session Refunds
Because sessions require preparation, travel (where applicable), and dedicated practitioner time:
You may reschedule or cancel with at least 24 hours' notice.
Unused sessions within a package are not refundable, but may be rescheduled within the applicable expiry window.
If a session doesn't feel like the right fit, please let me know — I'll do my best to adjust my approach to better support you and your animal.
8. Your Responsibilities
When engaging my services, you agree to:
Provide accurate information about your animal's health history, behaviour, and living environment.
Ensure your animal is safe and not in need of urgent veterinary attention prior to any session.
Implement advice at your own discretion and at a pace appropriate for your animal.
Take full responsibility for decisions you make based on the guidance provided.
Notify me promptly if your animal's situation changes significantly between sessions.
9. Intellectual Property
All provided information material, resources, and website content are my intellectual property. You may use these materials for your own personal and educational use only. You may not reproduce, sell, share, or adapt them for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted under Australian law:
Results from Reiki sessions or behaviour consultations vary and cannot be guaranteed.
I am not liable for decisions you or others make based on the information or guidance provided.
I am not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to you or your animal arising from the use of my services, website, or third-party platforms.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Privacy
Your privacy and your animal's information are important to me. Personal information collected during the booking and consultation process is handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy (available separately). This includes how I collect, store, use, and protect your data.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be handled under Queensland jurisdiction.
